Cavalier shrugged off their opening-day defeat against Arnett Gardens by securing a comfortable 3-0 away win over Vere United in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) today.

The Rudolph Speid-coached Cavalier looked more purposeful than Vere at the Wembley Centre of Excellence and got the opening goal in the 42nd minute through Collin Anderson.

Dwayne Atkinson then extended Cavalier's lead in the 68th minute following a well-timed header that was set up by Anderson.

Anderson returned for his double in the 74th minute to seal the win for the former champions, who were securing their first points of the new campaign.
