#Champs2023 | Edwin’s Shamoyea Morris leads Class Two discus field going into final

Edwin Allen's Shamoyea Morris, with no competitor reaching the automatic qualifying mark of 43 metres, led the athletes that secured places in the final of the Class Two girls’ discus at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships at the National Stadium today.

Morris' effort of 42.98 metres was enough to lead the field for the final, with teammate Dionjah Shaw the second-best with 41.76. Clarendon College's Marla-Kay Lambert had the third-best distance with 39.48.

The other finalists are Class Two girls’ shot put champion Kimeka Smith of St Jago, St. Catherine's Able Mills, St Jago's Rehanna Biggs, Hydel's Natassia Burrell, Excelsior's Najhada Seymoure, Denbigh's Shantangelo Williams, St. Elizabeth Technical's Yuleena Parchment, Manchester High's Janine Lindsay and Alpha's Danielle Brown Lyn.
