Jamaica's Andrew Hudson will get a chance to compete in the men’s 200 metres final at the World Championships, despite the sprinter finishing fifth in his semi-final.
Hudson was involved in a cart accident before the semi-finals, which saw the Jamaican seeking medical attention to remove glass fragments from his eye.
Hudson, after receiving treatment, competed in the semi-finals, but his 20.38 seconds clocking placed him fifth, behind winner Noah Lyles of the United States of America.
The governing body, World Athletics, provided Hudson with a lane in the final because of the unfortunate incident.
