Jamaica will have no representation in the men’s 200 metres as Andrew Hudson and Rasheed Dwyer failed to advance from the semi-finals at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, today.

Hudson clocked 20.38 seconds for fifth in semi-final one, won by the United States of America’s Noah Lyles in a speedy 19.76 seconds. Dominican Republic’s Alexander Ogando finished second in 20.02.

Rasheed Dwyer had to settle for sixth place after breaking the line in 20.49. USA’s Erriyon Knighton easily won the event in 19.98, with Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes finishing second in 20.02.
