Shanieka Ricketts finally breaks 15-metre barrier

Shanieka Ricketts can now count herself a 15-metre triple jumper.

This, after the tall Jamaican, hopped, skipped, and jumped out to 15.01 metres to win the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Brussels, Begium earlier today.

Ricketts finished further down the sandpit than the Ukraine’s Maryna Romanchuk, whose best effort was 14.57 metres and the Commonwealth of Dominica’s Thea Lafond, 14.49.

Another Jamaican, Kimberly Williams, finished fifth with a jump of 13.96 metres.
