Elevation Cycling Club to stage final race of 2023

The roundabout at Portmore Mall is set to witness a thrilling spectacle tomorrow as the Elevation Cycling Club (ECC) gears up for its fourth and final race meet of the year.

The anticipation is fever-pitch with over $500,000 in purse money up for grabs and more than 50 cyclists vying for supremacy tomorrow morning.

Established in 2021, the ECC has been a driving force in promoting cycling development and community engagement.

With a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering social cohesion, the club has organised more than 15 development races since its inception, making a significant impact on the cycling scene.

The upcoming event promises to be a highlight, with races kicking off at 8 a.m. and registration starting an hour earlier at 7 a.m. Cyclists from various categories will compete for cash prizes, with the elite and junior divisions set to steal the spotlight.

In the elite division, all eyes will be on national champion Jerome Forrest, a formidable force on the cycling circuit.

The junior division will see national champion Jaequan Dixon ready to showcase his talents. Dixon, a rising star in the cycling world, has been making waves with his impressive performances.

The feature race, which will undoubtedly the highlight of the day, carries a substantial top prize of $100,000.
