MONTEGO BAY, St James:Prime Minister Andrew Holness will be in Montego Bay on Sunday for a second consecutive weekend to address the joint conference of the Jamaica Labour Party's (JLP's) North West and Central St James constituencies at Montego Bay High School.

Incumbent member of parliament (MP) for North West St James, Dr Horace Chang, will use the occasion to introduce the party's candidate, Heroy Clarke, for the newly created Central St James constituency.

Clarke, who is the sitting councillor for the Rose Heights division in St James, will go up against newspaper publisher Lloyd B. Smith of the People's National Party (PNP) in the next general election. Central St James was created by cuts to the neighbouring constituencies of North West, West Central, and East Central St James.

Dr Chang will be challenged by Henry McCurdy, the PNP's caretaker.

Other speakers at Sunday's conference will include JLP Chairman Mike Henry; his deputy, Robert Montaque; MP for South Trelawny Marissa Dalrymple; and G2K president, Delano Seivwright.

Holness was in Montego Bay last weekend as he addressed the JLP's South St James and East Central St James conferences. There, he hinted that voters would be going to the polls soon. He also stated that there would be no long period of campaigning.
