"Wake up and smell the coffee" - a popular idiom which means to open your eyes and see a situation for what it really is.

But for many Jamaicans, this is taken more literally and there's no other way for them to start their morning than with a cup of coffee. Black, with sugar, milk or cream, Jamaicans just love their coffee. And with good reason, as next to Bob Marley and Usain Bolt, it's perhaps our most popular export. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is famous the world over, and so, this year, the Food section celebrates this Jamaican staple with 'The Perfect Cup'.
