With a grand motor-revving entrance no less spectacular than in a Vin Diesel movie, Guinness will showcase some of Jamaica's hottest cars at three mass event experiences, as well as select venues on its three-month, 12-bar tour across Jamaica.

The organisers have confirmed preparation to engage some of Jamaica's top car dealerships to send their hottest rides to the competition events and win the chance to showcase their winning entries at the grand, bold, and exceptional 30ft-high entrance at the mass events, as well as the bar tours.

"Jamaica is not short of top-of-the-line cars. We are soliciting partnerships with premium car dealerships in Jamaica to join the competition to add the 'aspiration mood' for the Guinness man who is always seeking more," said brand manager at Red Stripe, Racquel Nevins.

Roll out with your hot ride

According to Nevins, the show of beautiful bodies, wheels and engine power in the highly anticipated car competition will earn someone the right to be distinguished with his favourite car, much like the pride Guinness wants to regain in its man with his favourite drink, which is the very reason for hosting the marathon bar parties and mass events.

Nevins encouraged all to "roll out with your hot rides and you may win a chance to showcase at the entrance of the Guinness 'Made of More, Black the Streets' event series near you".

The car competition, which is to be judged by industry professionals, is part of a menu of exciting features at the grand events, starting on April 26 from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the Guinness home ground, the Red Stripe Oval, 214 Spanish Town Road, St Catherine. The other two major events at which the winning cars and drivers will be prominently displayed take place in Montego Bay and the grand final in St Catherine.

The winning cars will also be featured at select venues on the bar tour, which started on Friday, April 19, at Ken's Wildflower in Portmore and Allen's Spot Bar at 52 Balcombe Drive in Waterhouse.

According to Nevins, "the car competition fits well with the concept of 'blacking (blocking) the street', in much the same way the authentic dancehall party used to".

Nevins says there is no arrangement for patrons to win any of the hot rides that will be on show, but "someone will definitely be walking away with his own record, his own music and a spot on the show with some of Jamaica's most popular entertainers."

Patrons at the shows will be able to take pictures of the competition events, including the cars, and send them to Guinness'Facebook page and solicit their friends to 'like' them. The person with the most 'likes' wins.

Only persons 18 years and over will be allowed to enter the shows.
