Catch the Wind - The Novel has all the elements of a good story mixed with some keen observations of human behaviour. It is a love story played out in the lives of two people struggling to be a success. There are elements of intrigue, romance, danger and betrayal.

Muna, the accidental girlfriend of Jamaica's most influential drug don, wants out but knows too much to walk away. While laying low from authorities, she encounters a disillusioned American businessman with whom harmless play becomes love that leads to an ambitious adventure of betrayal.

Catch the Wind examines the motives, dreams, and drives of two culturally and socially separated characters when circumstances bring them together at a small hotel in Negril. The novel also questions the motives and the ability for success with some of the characters.

John M. Smith is a native New Yorker who has spent a good deal of time in Jamaica. His experiences in Jamaica helped to inspire the novel and over the last two decades having made many friends here, Jamaica has become his second home.

He began writing poetry during his youth, eventually moving on to short stories, and then during his literary education in college, he started the novel. He also began editing a few of his older short stories; the ones he felt are more meaningful.

This is an intriguing drama that readers will have a difficult time putting down until they have reached the last page. The Kindle Edition and hard copy of Catch the Wind are already available on Amazon.
