Difficult year but high praise for top performers!

Top performers at the National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCB) earned the praise of their teammates and executives for meeting and even surpassing their sales targets recently at the bank's annual Pinnacle Awards banquet.

NCB Group Managing Director Patrick Hylton spoke of his pride in the top-class performances of the bank's diligent and innovative sales staff, and the fact that their achievements come against the backdrop of a tough year.

"Your ability to recognise and react positively to opportunities that are sometimes camouflaged in the current adverse economic environment is what really results in personal and collective success. This is what will ultimately determine NCB's survival and domination of the financial landscape," Hylton said.

He also noted that the awardees' dedication to serving customers with sales and service innovations has helped transform how efficiently the bank operates.

"Given the current business environment and the challenging macroeconomy in which we operate, we all know how important it is for us to ramp up our momentum and to focus on efficiency in our activities and engagements. You have obviously taken this challenge to heart and found ways to demonstrate the requisite individual and collective flexibility in executing specific initiatives and objectives to meet and even exceed sales targets," he said.

BRANCH OF THE YEAR

The Falmouth branch in the parish of Trelawny emerged as NCB's Branch of the Year.

Just under 80 employees received awards, including seven who topped the sales performance criteria, such as the Business Banker of the Year Fitzroy Donaldson, from the winning Falmouth branch.

Patricia Burnett, of the Retail Banking Division, won Direct Sales Agent of the Year, while Julane Gayle, from NCB's Savanna-la-Mar branch, is the Business Development Representative of the Year.

The trophy for Personal Banker of the Year went to Tracy-Ann Reboe from the Duke Street branch, while the award for Sales and Relationship Officer of the Year went to Christopher Hall of the Bank's Payment Services.

Tanesha Roberts won the Private Client Account Executive of the Year prize. Wealth Advisor of the Year was Michelle Garrison of the Half-Way Tree branch, while the coveted NCBIC Insurance Advisor of the Year award went to Anntonette Cowan Palmer of the Mandeville branch.
