As 2013 comes to an end and some people reflect, those in the music industry are already gearing up to release new songs and in some cases change their image for the new year.

Having lost his 'clash king' title to Ryno at Sting last week, KipRich says he is already in the studio.

"I am in the studio already recording some songs to get out there right now, songs and videos more than ever. I even have the Nuh Behaviour squad with Memzay and Shamari weh a come out deh," he told The Gleaner.

Dancehall artiste Spice says 2013 was more about motherhood with her daughter just starting to attend school. But in 2014, "my plan is to focus a hundred per cent on my career."

BRAND NEW SPICE

She continued, "I want to focus on my career and release a lot of hit singles. I am definitely Going to give them a brand new Spice in terms of the image and flow."

This year was certainly a highlight for dancehall duo RDX. According to Renigade, they are looking forward to new releases, as the video for Sexy Touch will be released tomorrow, New Year's Day. Early in the new year, he said they will release Loose Themselves that was done with Major Lazer.

Two albums will also be in the mix - a dancehall album called Bangers and a one-drop album called Soul Poetry.

"Definitely, there are things to improve on ... .Trying to elevate ourselves is always the mission. We definitely want to make some different inroads in the music industry," Renigade said.

For Stacious, the plan is to be more visible in the coming year.

"For 2014, I definitely plan to be a lot more visible. I think this year I took a small hiatus," she told The Gleaner.

"A lot more singles will be released, and I want to work with a lot of producers that I didn't work with before. The gangstress will still remain, but I will play more on the softer side to please the fans that like that side of me."
