Rubis goes Ultra Tec

On Thursday, Rubis Energy Jamaica launched Ultra Tec, an advanced fuel technology product designed to deliver optimum performance, maximise fuel economy and save motorists money.

The launch was held at The Venetian, Terra Nova All Suite Hotel, on Waterloo Road in St Andrew.

Managing director of Rubis Energy Jamaica, Alain Curreau, explained the numerous benefits from what is touted as Rubis' super additive, the latest generation of high-performance boosters, which is in the fuel, which motorists receive at Rubis Energy stations.

"Ultra Tec fuel formulation is designed to improve vehicle acceleration, restore lost power for easier climbs, eliminate hesitation, stalling and rough idling caused by engine deposits, remove engine deposits to return the vehicle to its original performance, and to keep the vehicle running new," Curreau explained.

He emphasised that Ultra Tec results in superior performance of the vehicle's engine.

Motorists intent on the Ultra Tec experience are advised to fill up tanks at least three to four times at Rubis service stations in order to feel the difference in performance and get the best value from the additive.

Ultra Tec is currently available in Rubis' Premium unleaded 90 gasoline fuel. It is expected that by the end of the company's rebranding effort on June 30, the additive will be available for unleaded 87 gasoline, diesel and ultra low sulphur diesel.

The Rubis rebranding began in April this year, and so far, the company has established the new image at 92 per cent of its almost 50 service stations across the island.

Blending features

According to Rubis retail manager, Raymond Samuels, the new look of their service stations blends several features. "Our service stations feature a well-lit modern and fresh appearance. LED lights make our service stations much brighter and our customers much safer at nights, especially females. In addition, these LED lights will reduce electricity consumption by 30-40 per cent. This will help to lower the operating cost of our dealers," he said. Samuels said that the company is the first to offer LED price boards.

Chairman of the new-car importers' organisation, the Automobile Dealers Association, Kent LaCroix, encouraged persons to utilise fuel containing Ultra Tec, as it improves lubricity and engine performance.

Julian Robinson, minister of state in the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, lauded Rubis for its investment in Jamaica and the company's contribution to helping the country to reduce its energy bill.
