Sections of St Ann are now without water.

The National Water Commission (NWC) says its facility at Liberty has been taken out of operations to facilitate maintenance work between today and Friday.

The NWC says during this period customers in Liberty, Tanglewood, Roadside, Lewis, New Bank and Cool Shade will be without piped water.

Customers are being urged to store water for use over the stipulated period.

At the same time, the NWC has advised that the Claremont system in St Ann had to be taken out of operation to facilitate emergency system improvement work.

The agency says it is expected that normal operations will resume by Friday.

Areas affected by the disruption are Claremont, Steerfield, Orange Park, Golden Grove, Alderton, Lydford Housing Scheme, Beechamville, Beecher Street, Coultart, Rural Retreat and Carlton Mountain.
