Today is being celebrated as World AIDS Day.
Locally, the Health Ministry says it's focusing on a wellness and preventative drive.
Health Minister Horace Dalley says despite the significant strides that have been made over the years, stigma and discrimination continue to adversely affect HIV testing as well as access and treatment.
Jamaica is among the countries charged with the ambitious goal of fast tracking its approach to accelerate action to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.
