Students gather for the Mathematics Expo, which is being held at the UWI Mona Campus. Senator Ruel Reid, minister of education, youth and information (MOEYI) declared the Expo officially open by symbolically releasing balloons. The expo is one of many activities organised by the MOEYI’s Mathematics Unit as the country observes National Mathematics Week, March 5 to 9, 2017, under the theme ‘Math Counts’.Thousands of students from across the country are expected to visit the expo to view the 50 display booths and partake in numerous educational activities.
