The St James police are on the hunt for a man they believe was involved in Tuesday evening's triple killing on King Street in downtown Montego Bay.

Head of the St James police, Superintendent Eron Samuels, has identified the suspect as 32-year-old John Lee Roach. He says Roach is a person of interest in another case of shooting.

Samuels says the police are unsure whether he was shot and injured after he allegedly engaged a police team which responded to reports of shooting in the King Street area in a shootout.

He says the suspect escaped in a gully, leaving behind two weapons.

"We will be conducting a search of the gully between tonight and tomorrow morning as we believe he had dived into the gully and we are not sure at this time if he was shot and injured or if he received any injuries following him jumping several feet down into the gully," Samuels explains.

The police have also named Kasheem Lewis as a person of interest in the case.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call @crimestopjamaica at 311 or the nearest police station.
