45-y-o St Ann man charged with assault with intent to rape

The police in St Ann have charged a man for breaking into a woman's house and allegedly attempting to sexually assault her.

He is 45-year-old Oral Brown, otherwise called 'Ratty', of Nine Mile in the parish, who is charged with burglary and assault with intent to rape.

Reports from the Alexander police are that about 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, Brown entered the complainant's home while she was sleeping.

The police say he got undressed and attempted to remove the complainant's shorts and assaulted her.

An alarm was raised and the accused was caught by a relative of the complainant while trying to escape.

A report was made to the police and on their arrival the accused was apprehended and taken into custody.

Brown was officially on Tuesday, October 15.
