It's official. Oliver Bailey from St Elizabeth is the Caribbean Broilers pan chicken Champion of Champions.

As the smoke cleared on Knutsford Boulevard on Sunday, Bailey, the 2005 champion, beat past champions, Dorritte Brown (2006), David Graham (2007), Anthony West (2008) and Claudia Mitchell (2009), to win the ultimate title. In celebration of the fifth year of the competition, it was time to see who really was the ultimate champion.

The famous pan chicken has become as much a staple in Jamaican cuisine as the national dish. By mid-afternoon, walking space was limited as scores of persons formed queues at various stalls to get a taste of what champion chicken really tastes like. Lips were tight about their secret seasonings while others proudly showed off their versatility.

But pan chicken champions weren't the only 'chefs' who had something to prove. Members of the music fraternity also wanted to show their dominance in another area - the kitchen. In the end, Stacious won over Nadine Sutherland, Shane-O and Keida.
