'Three The Hard Way' on at JC tonight

The 'Three The Hard Way' '70s, '80s and '90s Champs retro party, organised by the old boys' associations of Calabar High, Kingston College (KC) and Jamaica College (JC), will be held on the lawns of Jamaica College tonight.
The party comes just four days before what could be the most watched, fiercely contested and biggest Champs spectacle of all time.
Champs will begin Tuesday, March 24, and climax Saturday, March 28, inside the National Stadium.
The 'Three The Hard Way' organisers are hoping to set the tone for "good vibes, exciting, camaraderie-filled and an incident free" event.
Musical entertainment will be provided by established acts from each school.
Rory from Calabar will be spinning on the turntables of Stone Love, while DJ Squeeze will represent JC, and Marlon Young will don the purple and white of his alma mater, KC.
Tickets are $1,000 pre-sold and $1,500 at the gate, while VIP is $3,500.
Keith Whyte, president of the Calabar Old Boys' Association, views the party as a means of achieving positive results.
"Champs is about rivalry, which comes with intense emotional rivalries among students. We (C'bar, KC and JC) are working together as friends and sending a message," Whyte indicated.
Meanwhile, Dr Patrick Dallas, president of the Kingston College Old Boys' Association, is hoping to build the "ideal vibes for Champs".
"We are using this event to show that we are rivals, but friends. It will be a function to reunite old boys and their friends of all the three top boys' schools in the island," he noted.
Major Basil Jarrett believes it will be the ideal event for old friends and former rivals to reunite.
"As old boys, we want to show that rivalries are not needed physically. When you are in school, rivalries enhance sports, but as grown men, we become a network of friends, after school," he said.
"We want to create a legacy next year and take it (Three The Hard Way) to North Street, Kingston College, because this party is something that will build our schools," Jarrett told The Gleaner.
