Two in custody in connection with policewoman's killing

Two suspects are now in custody after yesterday's brutal killing of a policewoman.

The woman constable has been identified as Crystal Thomas.

Reports are that the policewoman was travelling on a bus heading towards Spanish Town yesterday evening.

The policewoman, who was based at the Denham Town police station in Kingston, had just left work.

The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre understands that armed robbers entered the bus on which she was travelling and proceeded to search the passengers.

The police say when it was discovered that she was a policewoman the robbers diverted the bus and later shot and killed her.
