Lead winners of the 90th Oscar Awards

The 90th Academy Awards, which aired Sunday, March 4, honoured the best films of 2017 and the players behind and before the camera. A handful of films were rewarded the most prestigious awards of the night.
Nominated for 13 Oscars, The Shape of Water, directed by Guillermo del Toro, took home trophies for Best Picture, Best Director, Production Design and Original Score.
Frances McDormand won Best Actress and Sam Rockwell, Best Supporting Actor for per-formances in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, while Gary Oldman won Best Actor for his turn as Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour. Jordan Peele made history as the first African American to earn an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for his film Get Out.
