After two individual wins on yesterday's opening day, the Michael Dyke coached Edwin Allen High School captured the High School Girls' 4x800 Championship of America in 8:54.02 minutes for their first versatile gold of the meet earlier today.

The quartet of Jessica McLean (2:14.77 minutes), Kayan Green (2:11.21), Nadine Rose (2:12.71) and Rushana Dwyer (2:15.34) had an easy win to give the Frankfield, Clarendon based team it's first win in seven years in the event, with the last success coming in 2012. Union Catholic, of New Jersey was way back in second in 9:00.36 minutes.

Dyke was pleased that the weather did not affect the result.

"We were always confident of winning, although earlier in the day, I was concerned about the weather. But it improved later on, and I am very proud for the girls," he said.
