Busha Browne Co-founder Winston Stona dies at 82
Jamaican actor and co-founder of the Busha Browne Company, Winston Stona, has died.
Independent film producer Justine Henzell, who oversees the legacy of The Harder They Come, said Stona wasn’t well and had been in the hospital. She went on to state that he passed away on Tuesday, at about 1 a.m. He was 82 years of age
“He was an amazing storyteller, charming and gracious. And he was a wonderful family friend. We will miss him dearly,” she added, noting that her mother, Sally Henzell, was a very dear friend of his.
Not only was he a stalwart in the condiment industry, bringing freshness, authenticity and ingenuity to his Busha Browne's line of jerk sauces, marinades, jellies, preserves and chutneys, Stona is best known for his roles in the movies The Harder They Come, One Love, No Place Like Home and Cool Runnings.
