Pizza and beer make a scrumptious treat. Add a burger or two to the delightful moment and the flavour profile gets even better. Pizza, Brew and Burger Too, that’s what The Knutsford Court Hotel calls the delicious weekly occasion. It has the New Kingston area buzzing with foodies on Thursday nights.

Commencing at 4 p.m. , at the hotel’s famous eatery, The Melting Pot, it’s an enjoyable experience that’s second to none. The eight-hour food fêtes are filled with great-tasting foods, ice-cold beers and provide a hub where good friends get together for a lyme. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience that isn’t available anywhere else in the corporate area, which makes it even more spectacular.

Group director of marketing and sales at the hotel, Nicola Madden-Greig, told Food, that the happy hours always mesmerises adventurous foodies who indulge in the affair.

“All our dishes are custom created and feature unique combinations of ingredients. For example, the burger dishes were created by our chefs during an in-house burger competition. And a lot of creativity goes into executing these new dishes,” she explained.

SPIRITED FOOD VENTURE

Executive Chef Mark DeKrines and his team of talented chefs are always looking forward to whipping up the flavoursome meals each week. In fact, their phenomenal display of fine culinary artistry often makes it difficult for one to choose a single option.

“Choosing a must-have meal, is a tough choice. They are equally great in their own way, with their own tastes, textures, and flavour combinations. The meat lovers pizza is definitely a must-have,” DeKrines said.

Its food and beer combos are an exceptional and great way to unwind and get ready for the weekend. But the chef’s favourite is the ‘meat lovers’ pizza’, which is perfectly prepared with ground beef, bacon, jerked sausages, and smoked ham. The ‘shrimp lovers pizza’ is its rival, creating a seafood craze with the much-loved, slender-bodied crustaceans. The crusts are made in house from herbed vegetable focaccia flatbread piled high with very generous toppings. The eating house’s three-cheese blend further brings it pure perfection.

Options such as Andre’s Knutsford Seaturf Burger is a conversation stopper. It’s a shrimp burger topped with crispy bacon strips, coconut callaloo puréeand citrus chutney, served with vegetable chips. Carlos’ Elements Burger, too, is an excellent choice. So savour the moment with a char-grilled beef patty topped with a thick slice of crispy panko- fried cheddar cheese and spicy mango compote in pepper jelly served with cho cho fries.

The Pizza, Brew and Burger too menu remains constant. This means you’ll be able to repeatedly enjoy your favourite items every time you stop by for the delicious occasion. But remember it’s an epicurean frenzy, so you must surely delve into something new.

Executive chef Dekrines says, “We give world-class service and fresh, hot, delicious food done to order, just the way you like it. Expect nothing less at The Melting Pot’s Pizza, Brew and Burger Too.”
