Where is the water?

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Having spent a week in the beautiful St Catherine, Jamaica, with my brother during my recent visit from the United Kingdom, I have to express my dismay at the frequency, completely unannounced, of no running water. Does the water supply system operator feel there is customer satisfaction here? I don’t think so.

It is cruel irony that an island surrounded by sea, with recent rainfalls enough to wash us all away, has empty taps. Such discourtesy to National Water Commission customers is surely intolerable!
