Police to determine if Manchester family was killed then set on fire

Investigators are trying to determine if members of a Manchester family were killed and their home set on fire in the Craighead community on Friday night.

The charred remains of Lina Powell, along with her two children, Delroy and Lissette Powell, were discovered while firefighters conducted cooling down operations.

The Gleaner-Power106 news centre understands that investigators found several spent shells near the house.

It is understood that residents reported hearing loud explosions in the vicinity of the house where the Powells lived.

Shortly thereafter, residents reported that the house was engulfed in flames.
