Sentencing of policewoman caught with fugitive again put off

The sentencing of police Constable Kaye Falconer who pleaded guilty to harbouring a fugitive has been pushed back to June 26.

The sentencing hearing was scheduled for yesterday in the St James Parish Court.

However, the matter was rescheduled at the request of Falconer's lawyer Adrian Dayes, who told the court that psychiatric report for the policewoman is not ready.

The policewoman was arrested and charged after an escaped inmate, Greg Taylor, was recaptured at her house Glendevon in the parish on February 24, 2013.

Taylor had escaped custody at the Freeport Police Station in St James under questionable circumstances on January 30, 2013.

It is reported that at the time of Taylor's recapture, a police team went to Falconer's house with a warrant, and subsequently found the escaped prisoner hiding under a table at the house.
