Almost 13,000 rounds of ammo seized since January, say police

The police are reporting that they have recovered almost 13,000 rounds of ammunition since January.

The police say the total haul is 12,778 since the start of the year.

They say they have seized 545 illegal firearms.

The police have been on an intensified drive to rid the country of illegal guns.
