Come next year, residents of the community of Longville Park will have their own health centre.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 12, by South East Clarendon Member of Parliament Rudyard Spencer at the official handover of the latest developments in the scheme - Longville Vista and Longville Court.

Spencer said that representation had been made to the Government as there was need for a health centre to accommodate its over 12,000 residents. He gave the assurance that he was given the promise that it would be a reality in 2019.

Spencer's claim was re-emphasised by minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Housing, Karl Samuda.

Also on the books for the largest single community in the island is a school.

"We are going to ensure that Longville gets the school," is the pledge coming from Spencer.
