'Maneater' up to the Challenge

SHE'S A MANEATER (Omar Walker)

The unbeaten filly SHE'S A MANEATER goes for her third win from as many starts when she lines up for the $3.6 million Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy over 1400 metres, race number two in the Supreme Ventures Triple Crown series for two-year-olds at Caymanas Park today.

Trained by 15-time champion Wayne DaCosta for owner/breeder Winston Kong, SHE'S A MANEATER, with leading jockey Omar Walker again the saddle, is coming off consecutive fast time wins in recent months and is undoubtedly the best juvenile seen out so far this season.

The bay filly by Natural Selection out of the 2009 'Horse of the Year' Ahwhofah has won her two races by the combined margin of 19 lengths, culminating in a six-length victory over MONEY MAGNET in the Cash Pot 'Only One for Me' Trophy over 1200 metres on October 15, covering the distance in the smart time of 1:11.3 going wire to wire behind fast splits of 22.3, 45.0 for the first half mile.

SHE'S A MANEATER has been moving impressively at exercise since, galloping 1200 metres in 1:12.3 a week ago and clocking a fast 1:05.3 for 1100 metres by 59.3 days earlier.

Given her fine speed and abundance of class, 'MANEATER' should prove too good for stable-companion MR UNIVERSE also an impressive winner over 1300 metres at the November 12 Superstakes meet and MONEY MAGNET in a field of eight.

The 12-race programme, which will also see the remaining 11 races being sponsored by Supreme Ventures, should provide the down in class RAGING PROSPECT with an overdue win in the opening race over a mile for high claimers.

The 7-y-o gelding from the stables of Ryan Darby stumbled badly at the start behind JAMAI RAJA over 1700 metres in overnight company last Saturday and never figured. But with less to here, he should rebound at the expense of another down in class horse, ORIGINAL TRAIN and hat-trick seeker LEGENDARY PLEASURE.

I also like GREAT FAITH in the third race, YOGA (5th), CRUCIAL APPEAL (8th) and RED PARROT (12th).
