Thompson Herah blazes to another Diamond League meet record

This makes the sixth time Elaine Thompson-Herah has gone sub 10.80 this season. Last Saturday, she recorded a new personal best and meet record 10.54 seconds in Eugene.

Olympic double sprint champion Elaine Thompson Herah blazed to finish in a meet record in 10.72 seconds in the women's 100m at the Paris Diamond League today.

This makes the sixth time Thompson-Herah has gone sub 10.80 this season.

Last Saturday, she recorded a new personal best and meet record 10.54 seconds in Eugene.

This morning, fellow Jamaican Shericka Jackson finished second in 10.97 seconds.

Great Britain's Dina Asher-Smith was third in 11.06 and Jamaican Natasha Morrison fourth in 11.09 seconds. 

Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce had pulled out of today's race citing fatigue.
