Crying for Buju

The Editor, Sir:

This is for Carolyn Cooper regarding her column in The Sunday Gleaner.

Well said Carolyn, well said. I too cannot believe that such a fate would befall Buju as I felt he was able to rise above all that was thrown at him. But, unfortunately, it seems that some things are greater than man. I think Buju's arrest upset the country almost more than the impending tax increases.

For, while we are willing to discuss and break down the taxes and object to them, very few can face the actuality of the events that have landed the Gargamel behind bars. People just simply refuse to believe it and can't bring themselves to talk about it. The most they will say is that he was set up and despite what the findings are, to the end, many Jamaicans will believe that their Buju was set up. It is sad.
