Perfect cocktails for Smirnoff Dream weekend

Published:Thursday | July 22, 2010 | 12:00 AM

Diageo has launched a brand new innovation into grocery and convenience outlets, Smirnoff Perfect Pour Cocktails, in its UK markets. The ready-to-serve product brings two very popular and authentic bartender cocktail recipes, Smirnoff Cosmopolitan and Smirnoff Mojito, to consumers.

The packaging for the new product is a silver cocktail shaker-shaped bottle featuring green text for the Smirnoff Mojito and red for the Smirnoff Cosmopolitan, creating a striking contrast against the shiny silver background and ensuring strong standout on the shelves.

The recipe for the Smirnoff Cosmopolitan is a blend of Smirnoff vodka, Triple Sec liqueur, cranberry and a dash of lime flavour. The Smirnoff Mojito is a blend of Smirnoff vodka, Key Lime liqueur and a dash of mint flavours.

As they are premixed and ready-to-serve, they remove the uncertainty some consumers may have about preparing cocktails at home, providing a high-quality drink with minimum effort. Consumers only have to give the bottle a shake, pour the cocktail over ice and add garnish.

Approaching the highly anticipated Smirnoff Dream weekend, special cocktails are also in store.

According to Marsha Lumley, brand manager for Smirnoff, the brand has created special cocktails for the period that she is sure will find favour with the many consumers.

"This year, patrons attending Smirnoff Dream weekend will be in for a treat. As the leading vodka, Smirnoff will add its own flavour to the events with some special cocktails. We encourage consumers to come out and partake," Lumley said.

"Smirnoff is a very versatile brand and can be used in a variety of ways. It makes the perfect cocktail and can also be used while cooking," she added.

Here are a few of the many cocktails that you will be able to enjoy over four days at seven of the most premium parties in Negril July 30 to August 2.
