Higgins not breaking new ground

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I Just read Orville Higgins' column 'Have the media finally grown up?' (Gleaner, September 20, 2013) and want to make an observation.
Dionne Jackson-Miller regularly plays clips of news items from other media houses in Jamaica on her programme 'Beyond the Headlines'. Just this week, she played a clip from CVM TV. Therefore, if and when Mr Higgins plays a clip from a competitor, it will not be a groundbreaker. I am surprised Patrick Anderson did not know this.
