Quarantine and cook with Peppatree
Groceries are essential to nourishment, sustenance and good health. But if you’re looking to spice things up in the kitchen for the entire family, it might be a viable option to quarantine and cuisine with Peppatree.
According to the company’s founder, Nathan Haddad, the aim of Peppatree is to empower customers and foodies alike with the art of cooking. “Anyone who uses Peppatree can cook ‘like granny used to make it’. You can use the ingredients on their own, or you have the sauces assist you in getting creative with those ‘secret ingredients’ in your kitchen,” he told Food in a recent interview.
Cooking, he says, can be daunting for those who don’t necessarily know their way around the kitchen. So with these all-in-one seasonings, food preparation and healthy, easy food choice can now be a breeze.
This quality line of sauces is locally made using key ingredients, herbs and spices indigenous to Jamaica. Ranging from sweet or savoury to spicy, Peppatree products include Ol’ Time Jerk, Smokey BBQ, Mango BBQ, Fiery Jerk, Spicy Ketchup, Zesty BBQ Spice, Green Peppa, Red Peppa, Scotch Bonnet Peppa, and All Tings Spice. “The flavour profiles of our different products are complementary to one another, no matter how you choose to mix and match them,” he added. The ultimate proof, however, is in the taste. Haddad has challenged persons to tantalise their taste buds with not just the sauces, but with the incorporation in some of his very own recipes.
So, the next time you visit your nearest supermarket, be sure to grab a bottle, or more, of Peppatree sauce(s) and try your hand at these recipes. Happy quarantine and cuisine!
