Strict action against lewd music

Published:Wednesday | January 27, 2021 | 4:10 AM

THE EDITOR, Madam:

In the Letter to the Editor by Alrick Davis in The Gleaner, published on Monday, January 18, titled ‘Tortured by lewd music and loud bikes’’, he has raised a very vital issue. We all, especially the concerned people, should give him our full support. It is also important that the Government should act upon these matters, for the good of all.

We should not just read Mr Davis’ letter and forget about them. These matters are important, and we should call on the relevant authorities to address them.

There needs to be strict action taken to stop lewd music being played in public, and I am calling on the prime minister to look into this.

We need some strict action being taken by the Government to curb this menace. We should not allow lewd music in public spaces to contaminate our country. The authorities need to take strong action and send a strong message.

Our country is plagued with violent music and is falling over, so it’s full time, for the powers that be to clamp down on it.
