55,200 doses of AstraZeneca arrive under COVAX Facility

Jamaica, a short while ago, received another batch of vaccines under the COVAX Facility. 

Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton confirmed the arrival of the 55,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine via Twitter a moment ago.  

Jamaica last received 55,000 doses of AstraZeneca through COVAX in late April. 

The current dosages come, as thousands of Jamaicans get ready to receive their second shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine to be fully inoculated against COVID-19.
