Clarendon custos wants urgent fix for Sandy Bay 'death trap'

Custos of Clarendon, William Shagoury, is raising concern about an abandoned section of the Sandy Bay main road which he says is a potential death trap.

Speaking at a community church service recently in Longville Park, Shagoury appealed to residents to voice their concern about the roadway in order for the authorities to address it.

The Clarendon custos says a dangerous situation has developed where drivers are now travelling on the right side of the island in the round-a-bout at the section of the roadway where motorists once entered and exited Highway 2000 in the vicinity of Sandy Bay.

He wants the Member of Parliament, Rudyard Spencer, and the National Works Agency to move swiftly to address the danger that is posing a threat to the lives of motorists.
